ABOUT THE ARTIST

Based in beautiful Brockville, Ontario Canada, I started my painting journey when the pandemic hit. As with most of us, life came into sharp focus for me when the world shut down.

I paint what catches my fancy. I have no set method; I go where my eyes and my heart take me. It seems trite to say we live in a beautiful world - but it’s true. Sometimes a dying leaf tugs at me as strongly as a beautiful sunrise, so I will paint that. I paint in watercolour - water, literally the stuff of life. When it flows and takes the pigment with it, it creates a little world on paper. 

What do I want to say with my art? 

I want to capture the world around me; the beauty this pandemic and the slowing down of life has brought into focus for me. I see everything in paint colours now. I hope to preserve on paper, those things to which my heart seems to latch on - and if something in my work latches onto yours, I will have been successful.
